In 2015, our founder James Whitmore renovated his first home—a cramped Melbourne terrace with a kitchen that faced the wrong way. The experience was frustrating: contractors who didn't listen, designs that looked good on paper but failed in practice, and costs that spiralled without explanation.
He knew there had to be a better approach. One where the people building your home actually understood how you'd live in it. Where design decisions were explained, not dictated. Where budgets were respected and surprises were pleasant ones.
That conviction became rain-photon.
